Christmas Eve

I am still fighting this stupid cold.  It has decided it wants to move to my chest.  I am not happy.  I have made a big pot of Chicken noodle soup to hopefully show the cold who is boss.  Having family over for Christmas eve, just snack foods and soup.
Tomorrow is Christmas day and it will means lots of food  hopefully don't overeat.
Changes in my life
Well it has been awhile since I last posted.  I was just looking back at the my 13 things to do in 2013 and realized that I have already accomplished one of my goals and most of another goal.
I finished my first HAED cross stitch pattern.  This is a major accomplishment because I am a serial starter and have not completed that many patterns.
I have also almost completely purged my bedroom.  I still have to get rid of my large dresser and replace it with what was my grandmothers smaller dresser.  I have to also purge my closet and re-organize it.  Over time this will happen in the next 6 months.
I have also started a new job.  I was tired of the lack of "supervision" of the supervisor at my last job.  I have started a new job this week working overnights at Shoppers putting out stock etc.  It has been awhile since I worked overnights so will be awhile to get into the routine but it will come.
I am also going to start to add in little stories about my cat Tommy to my blogs.  Tommy is a very 'interesting" cat and definitely has a personality all of his own.\
As far as my weight loss going that is still an ongoing struggle everyday.  I am still hovering around the same weight but have started to walk again and am still trying to eat healthy everyday.  This is a constant struggle in my life and will always be one but the weight will come off eventually.
Now to the story of Tommy
Tommy came into my life about 2 1/2 years ago.  I had put my other kitty, Joshua, to sleep about 6 weeks before.  I wasn't going to get another cat but missed having one around all the time that I decided I needed one.  I went to the Huntsville Animal Shelter and to make a long story short didnt' get one from there.  I went down to the Bracebridge OSPCA and once I looked at Tommy I fell in love.  He was in the outside cat run with a few other younger male kitties.  It was a choice between Tommy and another kitty who was all orange.  Once I looked at his toes and saw he had extra toes I knew it had to be him.
Skip ahead to the present.  He has brought much joy into mine and my dad's life.   He always is doing something to entertain us.  Whether it is laying on his back and trying to "suck" people into 'rubbing" his tummy but all he wants to really do is bite you when you go to rub him.  He has a "fight" with dad everynight where he gets under dad's sheet that covers his chair  and Tommy fights through the sheet.
One thing about Tommy is that he hardly ever scratches only bites.
Well that is all for today, must get supper ready.
